Seattle has just been ranked among the best places to live in the United States

Is Seattle any good? Is it bad? Leaderboards and ratings are everywhere these days. With that in mind, things just might get better for us. US News has just ranked Seattle as one of the best places to live in the United States. Let’s look at this.

The new ranking looked at the 150 most populated metropolitan areas to find the best places to live. To make it to the top of the list, a place had to have good value for money, be attractive, have a strong job market and a high quality of life. Let’s see where Seattle is.

The ten best places to live in the United States are as follows.

1. Huntsville, AL
2. Colorado Springs, CO
3. Green Bay, Wis.
4. Boulder, CO
5. San Jose, California
6. Raleigh and Durham, North Carolina
7. Fayetteville, AR
8. Portland, ME
9. Sarasota, Florida
10. San Francisco, California

Although Seattle doesn’t make the top ten, we are in the top fifty. Our green city ranked at number 36, which isn’t too shabby. Seattle has an overall score of 6.4, a quality of life score of 6.6, and an overall “value” of 5.4.
