Netflix launches ranking site with top 10 titles

Netflix launched a new ranking website on Tuesday that showcases the company’s top 10 titles in different countries around the world. This follows an announcement made in October by the company that confirmed an upcoming change in its viewing metrics.

As the name suggests, the website features the 10 most watched Netflix movies and shows around the world. The rating is separated into Film (English), TV (English), Film (non English) and TV (non English).

As noted by The edge, there is an indicator for each title indicating how many weeks that content was in the top 10 and the number of hours viewed. Netflix also highlights the countries where each movie or show has been viewed the most. The list will be updated weekly on Tuesday with data from Monday to Sunday.

We look at each season of a series and each movie separately, so you can see Stranger Things seasons 2 and 3 in the Top 10. Since titles sometimes enter and exit the Top 10, we also display the total number of Stranger Things. weeks. that a season of a series or movie has passed on the list. […] All of the site’s weekly and weekly Top 10 listings start on June 28, 2021.

It should be noted that Netflix’s Top 10 includes not only original content from the company, but also licensed movies and shows. In a call for results last month, Netflix revealed that it will now take total hours viewed into account instead of the two-minute viewing metric to determine its ranking in the Top 10.

Anyone can access the Netflix Top 10 through this new website. The lists are also available as TSV and Excel files.
