You have undoubtedly pasted some text from a webpage or other document into Word and noticed that it contains a hyperlink. I find it incredibly boring; With rare exceptions, I never want hyperlinks to be active in my Word documents. Microsoft Word 2013 recognizes structured text as a Web URL and automatically converts them to hyperlinks by default. Fortunately, Word has the option to remove all hyperlinks in a document or in a specific part of the document using just one keyboard shortcut.

  • Open the document that contains the hyperlinks you want to remove and make sure the input cursor is on one of the pages. On your keyboard, press “Ctrl + A” to select all pages of the document. -If you want to remove hyperlinks from a single paragraph or part of the document, use your mouse to select that specific section.
